My holistic approach to the physical body means that in every session I’ll consider what’s happening head-to-toe, gathering a big-picture view of what’s influencing your posture, movement and pain.
It’s super important to me that clients have a thorough understanding of what’s happening in their body and what they can personally do to improve their wellbeing and the issues they’ve come into the practice with.
I work collaboratively with my clients to develop personalised and specific treatment plans that align with your individual needs. At The Urban Alchemist, we incorporates a multimodal approach to treatment specifically tailored to each client’s unique needs – and the types of treatments I offer within this include manual and low force adjustments, mobilisations, soft tissue work (massage and stretching, for example), and exercise prescription.
I’m passionate about helping people understand how effective chiropractic adjustments can be as part of a holistic approach to family care, women’s health and pregnancy, and how chiropractic can help babies and children move and develop optimally.
I work hard to stay up-to-date with research around women’s health, understanding the unique changes and challenges we face over the course of our lives. Some of the postgraduate study I’ve completed in this area includes
- Women Fertility and Pregnancy Care Essential
- Momentum Pregnancy Adjusting
- Inspiral Paediatrics
I have a genuine fascination with the journey of pregnancy and motherhood allows me to create a nurturing and safe space for you to share your concerns and goals for this amazing time. I also love working with babies and children who have challenges around movement, reflexes and other developmental issues.
Alongside being a chiropractor, I’m a fully qualified Mat Pilates instructor and I draw on my knowledge of biomechanics and exercise physiology in every session. Wherever I can, I enjoy educating and guiding clients in ‘being their own doctor,’ offering exercises and tools they can use to take an active role in their own health. It’s important to me that clients understand what’s going on in their own bodies, allowing them to make informed choices that support their overall wellbeing.
